What to expect
If you have made it this far, chances are you have already had an opportunity to view my work through any of my social media platforms, and something spoke to you about my style.

I typically do a mixture of lightly posed and lifestyle type images. In addition to the more typical portrait style "Christmas card" pictures, I will also be photographing lifestyle images of your family. These are some of my favorite images, because they truly tell a story and capture the emotions and connection between everyone.
In a session with me, you can expect to be put at ease while we laugh, joke, and play games. My goal is for everyone to enjoy their time and leave the session feeling excited and energized! Your only job is to relax, be yourself, and enjoy your family - I'll take care of the rest!

All of my sessions take place an hour or two before sunset with all natural light. This is when the lighting is just right, and gives everyone a flattering glow. I recognize that for families with young children, that can often be a difficult time, so please don't hesitate to reach out with questions about scheduling something that works right for you and your family.

Katie did a wonderful job capturing our family photos. The weather was much colder than anticipated, and the wind was brutal at times. Looking at the photos though, you'd never guess the kids were freezing or my hair was blowing all over the place.
She has a great eye for lighting, and she made the entire process enjoyable. I think our 12 year old son even enjoyed himself, and that says a lot.
